Spencer Jensen's Farewell, these people are my second family! LOVE YOU!

I can hardly believe I'm saying this, but summer is almost over! I thought this would be the longest summer of my life, and in some ways it has, but also the quickest. So many things have happened this summer and I am so sorry I haven't been updating the blog. For that I truly apologize. The very beginning of this summer I had the opportunity to go to California and spend some wonderful time with my family and much missed big sister Robyn and her adorable family. We spent a few days at the beach and did the whole Disneyland thing. It was great. After returning for a few short weeks, my mom's side of the family had a reunion where we rode the Amtrak to Colorado. I must admit the train is not my favorite thing, I actually got sick on it and it wasn't very fun. The way back was a lot better than the way there, but lets just say I prefer driving. Many other small adventures happened this summer as well. I went to Lagoon, traveled to St.George and saw Tarzan on stage, and said goodbye to many close friends as they leave to serve the Lord for two years. In summary this has been a very satisfactory summer full of work, work, more work and fun; I can't wait for it to be over. School starts in about two weeks, and in exactly a week from today I move back to the place where I belong. Many more adventures are sure to come from my sophomore year a Snow College, I swear I will be better at keeping you updated. WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Until we meet again.......... FRG

Oh summer... :D

Well the summer has officially started. But the good thing is, the past three weeks have gone by a little quicker than I thought.... Oh YAY! Don't worry, I keep myself busy by working full time every week, at least I'm making money, quite a bit to be exact. Oh, and I cleaned my mom's car and my car today... Yup, life is pretty dang exciting HAHAH! Oh boy... I miss my friends more and more, but I guess that will make our reunion even better. I sure hope they are having a great summer! Most of them traveled up yonder to Bear Lake for the summer to work. Believe me, I would have loved to go but it was a smarter decision for me to stay home for the summer. Don't get me wrong, I love my family more than anything. My mom is the greatest person in the world. She does so much for me, I don't think I will even know half of what she does. She is an incredible woman. Jen and Dan are just so much fun to be around. Even though they may drive me a little crazy, its hard to let them get on my nerves when they are just so happy to have me home. They are the best siblings anyone could ask for. My sister Robyn is getting close to having her baby boy Korbin and I can't wait for the cute little button to join our family. Hopefully I will get to go to California to see her when it happens. She is my best friend in this whole world! I miss her more than anybody else, and I hope she knows how much she means to me. My entire HUGE family is wonderful, I love you ALL! As the summer drags on, hopefully I will get to see more and more of them... That is all for now. Thanks for reading. Even if nobody does, its more of a way for me to keep myself sane. :D

Until we meet again... Fast Running Girl

DA ZOO!!!

Oh what a glorious day I had with my best friends in the whole wide world! Justin drove all the way to pick me up and take me to Salt Lake to see my Daddy in the hospital. He just had major surgery on his abdomen and it was his birthday so we went to surprise him with a visit. Although I'm not sure if he knew we were there or not, he looked pleased to see us. Justin and I ate dinner with my step-mom Cathy and sister April in the cafeteria, and it was actually quite yummy. We bid my family goodbye and met up with the good ole' gang from college at the Hogle Zoo! Derek, Kenzie, Chelsie, and Jen were all there and we had a blast spending time together at the zoo! It was the most fun I had had in weeks. We just loved being in each others company. Afterwards we met up with our dear friend Brad, the last person of the gang and went to the Clark planetarium, and out to eat. Needless to say it was a wonderful day spending time with the people I love most. The zoo just never gets old, but it was even better to share it with friends (even though it rained on us). Hopefully it will happen again in the very soon future!

Until we meet again...... FRG!!

Masquerade Ball

The last dance of the year was by far the most fun dance me and my roommates had been to all year. At least for me it was. We spent the good part of the afternoon getting ready for this little shin dig (the girls that is...). Thanks to my wonderful stage makeup skills I acquired in college, I painted masks on all of my roommates, and Derek. It was a lot of fun and we all looked really great. Plus, we had a lot of fun putting rhinestones on our faces... Derek excluded. haha. After we were all ready, we headed on over to the Malt Shoppe for a nice burger. We were starving after making ourselves beautiful for so long. Then we headed to the dance. Although, now that I think about it, we only danced to one song... haha. Most of the time we stood in line for the carriage ride outside. It was very cool. They also had Snow cremes (delicious snow cones made by a lady in Spring City, she was hired for the dance), a picture booth, caricatures, and tarot card readers. I definitely had a blast.

don't ask why...

A Bad Year for Tomatoes

I had the wonderful opportunity to be in the final production in Snow College's theatre season. It was a comedy called "A Bad Year for Tomatoes", and it was so much fun to be in! I played the part of Cora Gump. I southern girl with a lot of spunk who wasn't afraid of saying what she was thinking, or afraid to drink a little. And by a litte... I mean a lot! Apparently I'm good at pretending to be drunk... I don't know if thats a good thing... The show had only seven characters total in it. 4 girls and 3 boys, so it was a very small, tightly knit cast. I can't believe that I even got to be in it, it was a huge opportunity. My family and friends were great supports to me in this role, and I never had to perform a night where there wasn't somebody there to see me. Most of my friends came multiple nights, and Justin came to all of them. Oh how I love my fans! Thanks guys, you truly are the best! I also love every single one of my co-stars very much, they were great friends when the stress of the show was getting to me. The show only ran for four performances but it was a huge success. But after drinking two bottles of apple juice a night for two weeks straight, lets just say apple juice is not my friend... ugh.

Almost the whole cast of the show... good lookin'
bunch huh?
"Willa Mae Willcox, Reba Harper, and Cora Gump"

Yes, my dress was shaped like a rectangle...
Man, I'm going to be goodlooking when I'm old... :D
"you can say that again...."

Festival of Colors

Me and my besties traveled back to my dear hometown to participate in the festival of colors and boy was it fun!! I'm pretty sure I inhaled a few pounds of chalk, but meh who really cares? (haha I had pink boogers) We drove up there, chalked ourselves out, ate dinner in the crowded mall covered in chalk, and drove home. It was wonderful!

West Side Story

Okay I guess that last post wasn't very fair, and I should tell you more about what went on at school. So I will do my best to keep up and try to get everything you missed in the last few months on there. In February, Snow College had their yearly musical. This year it was West Side Story and I had the wonderful chance to be in the technical crew for it. (well I sorta had to because of my theatre scholarship). I spent three weeks straight in the Eccles building of our college, hardly ever leaving but to sleep and shower. And by sleep I mean roughly 4 hours a night. But hey, this is college remember? I met many great friends amd learned even more. During the week of dress rehearsals, I met a wonderful boy named Justin Rico, who played the part of Chino in the play. We began hanging out an flirting back stage. A week later he asked me to be his girlfriend and I gladly accepted. He is the greatest thing that has happened to me since sliced bread! I love every moment I get to spend with him, he is a great kid! He had recently decided to go on a mission and has just submitted his mission papers, so we are expecting a call very soon around here. I can hardly wait to see where he is going!! I am so proud!
