Spencer Jensen's Farewell, these people are my second family! LOVE YOU!

I can hardly believe I'm saying this, but summer is almost over! I thought this would be the longest summer of my life, and in some ways it has, but also the quickest. So many things have happened this summer and I am so sorry I haven't been updating the blog. For that I truly apologize. The very beginning of this summer I had the opportunity to go to California and spend some wonderful time with my family and much missed big sister Robyn and her adorable family. We spent a few days at the beach and did the whole Disneyland thing. It was great. After returning for a few short weeks, my mom's side of the family had a reunion where we rode the Amtrak to Colorado. I must admit the train is not my favorite thing, I actually got sick on it and it wasn't very fun. The way back was a lot better than the way there, but lets just say I prefer driving. Many other small adventures happened this summer as well. I went to Lagoon, traveled to St.George and saw Tarzan on stage, and said goodbye to many close friends as they leave to serve the Lord for two years. In summary this has been a very satisfactory summer full of work, work, more work and fun; I can't wait for it to be over. School starts in about two weeks, and in exactly a week from today I move back to the place where I belong. Many more adventures are sure to come from my sophomore year a Snow College, I swear I will be better at keeping you updated. WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Oh summer... :D

Well the summer has officially started. But the good thing is, the past three weeks have gone by a little quicker than I thought.... Oh YAY! Don't worry, I keep myself busy by working full time every week, at least I'm making money, quite a bit to be exact. Oh, and I cleaned my mom's car and my car today... Yup, life is pretty dang exciting HAHAH! Oh boy... I miss my friends more and more, but I guess that will make our reunion even better. I sure hope they are having a great summer! Most of them traveled up yonder to Bear Lake for the summer to work. Believe me, I would have loved to go but it was a smarter decision for me to stay home for the summer. Don't get me wrong, I love my family more than anything. My mom is the greatest person in the world. She does so much for me, I don't think I will even know half of what she does. She is an incredible woman. Jen and Dan are just so much fun to be around. Even though they may drive me a little crazy, its hard to let them get on my nerves when they are just so happy to have me home. They are the best siblings anyone could ask for. My sister Robyn is getting close to having her baby boy Korbin and I can't wait for the cute little button to join our family. Hopefully I will get to go to California to see her when it happens. She is my best friend in this whole world! I miss her more than anybody else, and I hope she knows how much she means to me. My entire HUGE family is wonderful, I love you ALL! As the summer drags on, hopefully I will get to see more and more of them... That is all for now. Thanks for reading. Even if nobody does, its more of a way for me to keep myself sane. :D

DA ZOO!!!

Oh what a glorious day I had with my best friends in the whole wide world! Justin drove all the way to pick me up and take me to Salt Lake to see my Daddy in the hospital. He just had major surgery on his abdomen and it was his birthday so we went to surprise him with a visit. Although I'm not sure if he knew we were there or not, he looked pleased to see us. Justin and I ate dinner with my step-mom Cathy and sister April in the cafeteria, and it was actually quite yummy. We bid my family goodbye and met up with the good ole' gang from college at the Hogle Zoo! Derek, Kenzie, Chelsie, and Jen were all there and we had a blast spending time together at the zoo! It was the most fun I had had in weeks. We just loved being in each others company. Afterwards we met up with our dear friend Brad, the last person of the gang and went to the Clark planetarium, and out to eat. Needless to say it was a wonderful day spending time with the people I love most. The zoo just never gets old, but it was even better to share it with friends (even though it rained on us). Hopefully it will happen again in the very soon future!

Until we meet again...... FRG!!

Masquerade Ball

The last dance of the year was by far the most fun dance me and my roommates had been to all year. At least for me it was. We spent the good part of the afternoon getting ready for this little shin dig (the girls that is...). Thanks to my wonderful stage makeup skills I acquired in college, I painted masks on all of my roommates, and Derek. It was a lot of fun and we all looked really great. Plus, we had a lot of fun putting rhinestones on our faces... Derek excluded. haha. After we were all ready, we headed on over to the Malt Shoppe for a nice burger. We were starving after making ourselves beautiful for so long. Then we headed to the dance. Although, now that I think about it, we only danced to one song... haha. Most of the time we stood in line for the carriage ride outside. It was very cool. They also had Snow cremes (delicious snow cones made by a lady in Spring City, she was hired for the dance), a picture booth, caricatures, and tarot card readers. I definitely had a blast.

We like these weird face pictures,
don't ask why...

A Bad Year for Tomatoes

I had the wonderful opportunity to be in the final production in Snow College's theatre season. It was a comedy called "A Bad Year for Tomatoes", and it was so much fun to be in! I played the part of Cora Gump. I southern girl with a lot of spunk who wasn't afraid of saying what she was thinking, or afraid to drink a little. And by a litte... I mean a lot! Apparently I'm good at pretending to be drunk... I don't know if thats a good thing... The show had only seven characters total in it. 4 girls and 3 boys, so it was a very small, tightly knit cast. I can't believe that I even got to be in it, it was a huge opportunity. My family and friends were great supports to me in this role, and I never had to perform a night where there wasn't somebody there to see me. Most of my friends came multiple nights, and Justin came to all of them. Oh how I love my fans! Thanks guys, you truly are the best! I also love every single one of my co-stars very much, they were great friends when the stress of the show was getting to me. The show only ran for four performances but it was a huge success. But after drinking two bottles of apple juice a night for two weeks straight, lets just say apple juice is not my friend... ugh.

Almost the whole cast of the show... good lookin'
bunch huh?
"Willa Mae Willcox, Reba Harper, and Cora Gump"

Yes, my dress was shaped like a rectangle...
Man, I'm going to be goodlooking when I'm old... :D
"you can say that again...."

Festival of Colors

Me and my besties traveled back to my dear hometown to participate in the festival of colors and boy was it fun!! I'm pretty sure I inhaled a few pounds of chalk, but meh who really cares? (haha I had pink boogers) We drove up there, chalked ourselves out, ate dinner in the crowded mall covered in chalk, and drove home. It was wonderful!

West Side Story

Okay I guess that last post wasn't very fair, and I should tell you more about what went on at school. So I will do my best to keep up and try to get everything you missed in the last few months on there. In February, Snow College had their yearly musical. This year it was West Side Story and I had the wonderful chance to be in the technical crew for it. (well I sorta had to because of my theatre scholarship). I spent three weeks straight in the Eccles building of our college, hardly ever leaving but to sleep and shower. And by sleep I mean roughly 4 hours a night. But hey, this is college remember? I met many great friends amd learned even more. During the week of dress rehearsals, I met a wonderful boy named Justin Rico, who played the part of Chino in the play. We began hanging out an flirting back stage. A week later he asked me to be his girlfriend and I gladly accepted. He is the greatest thing that has happened to me since sliced bread! I love every moment I get to spend with him, he is a great kid! He had recently decided to go on a mission and has just submitted his mission papers, so we are expecting a call very soon around here. I can hardly wait to see where he is going!! I am so proud!

Let the summer begin...

I know its been a while since my last post, but things were very hecktic down at school. (I passed my classes with flying colors... All A's and one B+ in my hardest class, well at least I'm satisfied)I am now moved home for the summer and ready to take it on! I'm determined to earn some serious money and try not to bore my self to death, but so far its not going too well. I have only been home a week and it feels like an eternity! I sure hope this summer goes by much quicker then it is now or I am in deep trouble. My boyfriend just submitted his mission papers and will soon be getting his call. I am so proud, and so excited to see where he is going! I'm searching for new jobs but nothing is really coming up. No worries, I won't lose faith just yet. Give me some time. But other then that, life is pretty slow. As for now, summer is here and I want it gone!

Until we meet again.... FRG

I love JEN!

Last weekend was Jen's birthday and the party never stopped! We played all weekend long from our roommate party to our massive friend party. I love that chicka more than anything in this world. Then last minute we got a nice visit from our gospel and doctrine teachers who asked me to teach the lesson the next morning. Of course I couldn't say no, but I was so freaking scared. Lets just say I am so very thankful for my good sense of humor or I would not have made it even half way through my lesson without it. Like I said before, thank heavens for awesome roommates! I have started the technical rehearsals for our school musical and it has just seemed to quickly take over my life but I love it to death. I have already made a bunch of new friends and learned a lot! Thank heavens there is no school tomorrow! WHOO HOO! It may be a while until my next post, like I said the show is taking over my life. We open this week! YAY!

Until we meet again!... FRG!

here are a couple more pics from the dance... :)

The Party Never Stops... Ever.

My dear roommate Jennifer just decided she was going to leave me stranded here in good ol' Ephraim while she goes on an extravagant vacation to Cincinnati Ohio for some choir thing or another. So naturally we had to say goodbye in fashion. Our dear friends Derek and Aubrey came over to spend the night with us before us before they left at three o'clock in the morning to head on over to the airport. Naturally we didn't sleep... at all. The long night was filled with ice cream, pasta and the card game Ligretto into the wee hours of the morning. Oh and lets not forget the wigs and singing... haha. Lets just say it was a bit insane. As soon as they left for the airport, I literally passed out in the front room trying to get some sleep before I had class the next morning. Let's just say that those three are definitely a bad influence on me, but don't worry, I still love them.

After a long week of school work, it felt entirely wonderful to just relax... or so I thought. Friday night the party had just begun. Our school was putting on an 80's dance and there was no way we would pass that one up. Besides, we LOVE dressing up remember?! I'm not one to really like dances, but this one was AMAZING! Thank heavens for my dear best friends Chelsie and Chad to keep me company and I had so much fun. I also learned that going into the center of the mosh pit is asking to die. I thought I was going to stop breathing, it was kinda scary. So after that we just stuck a little closer to the sides. It was great fun. When it got over, Chelsie and I headed home to make something to eat, we were starving. We were just getting out the food when Kenzie comes running in with a whole bunch of boys and asks if its okay with us if we have a HUGE dance party at our house. By the time the words came out of her mouth they were all filing in so we really had no choice. We just shoved our couches out of they way and hid our valuables. The next thing I knew, our apartment was packed with people... tons and tons of people.... WOW. It was insane, and a completely new experience, and I loved it. Don't worry, they helped us clean up... mostly and it was completely worth it. Definitely fun.

After a few hours of sleep my roommates and I woke up and packed for our next adventure for the weekend: going home. I nearly passed out when I got home and slept for a few hours. Then I got to go to the most amazing musical that my amazing best friend back home hooked me up with. We saw Urine Town and I laughed my guts out. Wonderful.

Overall I had a great weekend full of amazing, fun, and new experiences. Well, I guess its back to school for another week full of homework and classes. Wish me luck.

Until we meet again... FRG (fast running girl)

Game Night

All I can say is that the last two nights have been epic. It all started with ultimate game night last night, and I have never had so much fun just playing games. Derek introduced us to the greatest games in the whole world! They are Curses and The game of Things. Can I just say... amazing?! We literally played games the entire night and didn't stop until very early in the morning... very early in the morning. After we woke up at sometime in the afternoon today, we began the most epic day of laziness. Its been fantastic! We have officially done nothing today, and it is great! More friends came over tonight to play with us again, and it was almost as much fun as yesterday. Me and my roommates have found the awesome art of board games. They are eight billion times better than movies and so much fun, and I have a feeling game night is going to be a regular thing around here. Although I didn't say anything too cool, I just wanted to say I have the greatest friends in the whole world and I had a blast. GAMES ROCK!!!

Until we meet again...

The Spring Semester... here I go again...

Well coming back to school has pretty much been not very eventful. In fact, not much has really happened, so I don't really know why I am even writing on my blog to tell you that nothing has happened.

Well, that may be partially my fault... It may be due to the fact that my roommates and I are completely OBSESSED with the TV show LOST. Its pretty ridiculous. We have all started watching it and we need to get through five seasons before the second of February so we can watch the next, and final season of LOST. Its going to be epic, so I will just have to let you know how it goes, so far its been fantastic.

Jen's dad has made us the most legit couch stadium seating for our apartment in the whole wide world! IT IS SO FREAKING COOL! SO yeah, now we officially have the most awesome apartment in Ephraim!

Chelsie and I spent the whole three day weekend watching LOST, but not to worry, we did get something else accomplished. We made... ready for it? Duct tape boots and swimming suits! DANG STRAIGHT! I officially have purple plaid boots and Chelsie has a bikini made completely out duct tape. Are we the coolest or what? Yeah, I know, I would be jealous. Both of our duct tape articles go perfectly with our super hero league, so I officially have begun making my uniform! WOOT!

And that my friends, is pretty much the extent of what is going on here in E-Town. I honestly don't know if anybody even reads this but that is what is going on. Happy January!

Until we meet again...

The end...

Christmas break is coming to an end my friends and I would like to say I am sad, but that would be a lie. True, I will miss my family very much while I am away at college again, but that will only help me to miss them more in the future. I had an amazing time with everyone. My sister, her husband, and darling little girl drove out here from their new home in California to spend the holiday with us. I also got to see my "newly-wed" brother and his wonderful wife, as well as spend time with both my mother and father and their families; and not to forget my other siblings as well. They are just included. For the first time in almost two years, I got to talk to my step-brother Drew who is on his mission in Australia, and he is doing great. He has that missionary voice... Do you know what I mean? Its weird... But, Christmas was great and I got a whole lot more than I ever expected. I am most excited about my Spiderman watch I won at a white elephant gift exchange, it is awesome. It will match perfectly with my adventure pack. Enough said. It doesn't take much to make me happy. But both my parents (well I guess I should say all my parents) were so wonderful and generous and I am so very thankful for them. The best part of my break was being with family, I love them all!

To tell you the truth, I can't think of anything quirky or fun to say but I am off to college to start my second semester. I don't know what lies ahead, but I look forward to it!

Until we meet again.
